I've posted here before about my troubles with my soon to be ex-wife, so for some who remember me this should come as no surprise.

A little while before I left - but after I had been evicted to the walk-in closet under the stairs - I picked up a gig job running food deliveries. One night I get an order for about 600 in Chinese food for a place way out in the boonies on the very edge of my range. I didn't think anything of it and got the order.

After about 20 miles of normal back roads I turn onto a dirt private ln GPS is directing me. I go for about another 5 miles following the gps and moving slowly because the dirt road sucks and my 2010 Cobalt is old. Soon I see headlight behind me and am a little hopeful that the owners got sick of waiting on me and came.to find me so they can have their food.

I was wrong.

Two pick-up trucks come barreling down this dirt road, guys in both beds. One pulls in front of me blocks the road and stop the other stayed behind me but does the same. This is when I notice the guys in the bed have rifles and they were pointed at my car.

Long story short I end up kneeling on the ground hands behind my head as one of the me asks me who I am and what I'm doing on their property. I explain myself and another guy gets on a walky-talkie to confirm with someone else (I forgot to mention cell signal pretty much doesn't exist in this area). I spend a few more minutes like this wondering if in going to get shot over greasy Chinese food when walkie-talkie dude verifies my tale.

The men apologize and escort to the home and then escort to me to the gate to the main road after the fact. As soon as I get signal the first this I do is call the delivery company's driver support and tell them what happened. After that I call my still wife.

At first she was concerned then she got angry at me because I called the company before her. The rest of the night had nothing to do with a gun barrel in my face and everything with her feelings of being ignored and pushed aside.
