I've also done the reverse. Did something nice for a woman be it hold a door, carry something heavy, offer a seat? She goes "I have a boyfriend" or similar, insinuating a man would only do a good deed for sex or some other ulterior motive. On multiple occasions this has happened to me, I just go "So do I". The first time I did, I was actually dating a guy at the time, and I suppose the verbal riposte stuck.

I won't get into the view of sexual attraction as "ulterior" or the implication that nice things are only done as an exchange.
