A common counter-argument I hear to a lot of MRA talking points is: “well men commit 80% of violent crimes, we have to hold the accountable.”

I’m not denying that there is a degree of accountability we have to take, but simply stating “men vomit the majority of [insert crime here]” fails to account for why this violence comes to fruition. While men may be the primary perpetrators of crime, a lot of male criminals are derived from a gynocentric system that manufactures dangerous men.

The first element of this gynocentric system is in domestic life, which took a gynocentric route as early as the turn of the century with the passing of the tender years doctrine. This gave women all child custody rights in the event of divorce (and when this inevitably backfired they advocated for alimony, but that’s a story for a different time). Feminists often like to call it a “product of it’s time” and the “fault of the patriarchy,” but they fail to account for the fact that the tender years doctrine and similar acts were advocated for by the feminist movement. Gynocentrism was further reinforced with the passing of the child support system, which operates under the assumption that any man who fails to pay is a deadbeat. This is why the child support system provides little debt relief, and jails those who cannot keep up with payments. As a result of these reforms and toxic ideas spread after the sexual revolution (which placed personal pleasure above all implications of a sexual relationship), the divorce rate had reached an astonishing 40%. Single mother households now make up over 20% of living arrangements, meaning for a significant number of men, a positive masculine influence was peeled away. Lack of a positive masculine influence has been proven to have a very strong correlation to crime rates. This means from living arrangements alone, a significant chunk of young men are predisposed for violence.

The second element of this gynocentric system is education. Most first world nations follow a system of industrialized education, which places emphasis on discipline and reinforces a testing culture. This disciplinarian style of education has been proven to have a negative effect on young men, as evident by the lack of male attendance in college. This is also why 90% of classroom disruptions come from men. It does not help that over 70% of teachers are female, which is why I say education is gynocentric. This means our entire worldview and function in society is shaped by women. Because of this gynocentrism in education, a lot of young men are predisposed for failure. This is why 75% of the homeless population is male. Poverty and crime also happen to have a very strong correlation.

Finally, gynocentrism continues with the fact that the majority of psychologists are female. Our entire understanding of human behavior is viewed from a female lens, and thus, our view on what constitutes as rehabilitation. Failure of this gynocentric psychology is evident by the term “toxic masculinity,” which ignores the male perspective and places the entirety of the blame of negative male behavior on traditional masculinity.

To conclude, while men may commit the majority of violent crime, this is often result of disadvantages in home life an an education system with primary appeal to women. To put it simply, it is the result of a lack of masculine influence and gynocentrism. Men committing the majority of violent crime isn’t a counter-argument to MRA talking points, but rather proof for them.
