I have a male acquaintance. He's been with his partner for over 10 years, and has 2 children with her. He refuses to marry her because "marriage is just a piece of paper". She wants to get married but is accepting of her boyfriend's stance.

My question to you all is, is this a low value man or high value man? He pays the bills, works full time, helps with household chores, faithful, etc. She's the same. So I don't understand what's the hesitancy on his part?
