She was one of two feminists I really respected. She promoted equality of the sexes under the law. Her court rulings were not one sided towards women. She did not speak out about only women. As far as I can tell she followed the dictionary definition of feminism as opposed to the reality of the movement.

The other one is Malala Yousafzai an equal rights activist that was bullied for years until she adopted the feminist label.

I seem to remember her being quite racist, though I'm not aware of her discriminating against men as a gender

What makes you say she contributed to sex-based discrimination? All I know about her is that she helped make abortion legal and helped overturn gender discriminatory practices ie. striking down all-male admissions policies.
