If I can tell it's a company hiring based off of diversity then no. That tells me the company has a high chance of sucking to work for and that the company might not last long. Hire people based on ability not race or gender. If some one meets both your diversity quota AND is the best applicant in the pool for the job then cool beans. hire that person. Don't shoot down some one better for the position because they are white or male. It's the most asinine thing I've heard of in hiring culture. I'm a black man BTW.

Why would you even want to? How well would you feel working in such a company even if you get the job? Take your skills and talents to where they are useful and appreciated.

No, I wouldn't be comfortable at all and the problems is that many jobs in my profession are advertised as "encouraging people from a diverse background (=BAME) to apply as they are not well-represented". Luckily, I am not looking for a job for the next 4 years, but it is off-putting to see that they do this. Sometimes I feel like I should start a new business and hire whoever the fuck is better equipped for the job. 🤬
