Hey guys I'm a 17 yr highscool student who graduates around May 2017. I was wondering if going into the marine corps is a viable option after graduation? My original plan was to enlist and learn proper discipline as I know I'm a lazy fuck right now. I've have been keeping up with lifting, got a job, approached girls even when I get rejected, and all that good stuff but when it comes to things like sitting down and concentrating on something like schoolwork I fall flat and oftentimes just don't do it. I'm hoping the marine corps will teach me how to complete something as boring and monotonous as schoolwork as I know I will probably have more of it as time passes. Also it will teach me other valuable things like knowing no matter what happens in the civilian world I'll be ok (outcome independence). After leaving, as I'm only planning on staying for 4 years, I'm planning on learning a trade (maybe electrician) and working on my side business for eventual financial freedom. I also think the corps will teach me to keep going even when I feel like saying fuck it all to everything as I know owning a business AND working a full time job until it takes off will take its toll on me. Seeing the path that I'm planning on taking I would like some insight on what you guys think of the situation I'm planning on getting myself into and if it's even worth it? Much appreciated. P.S. sorry about the horrible formatting I'm on mobile
