I deleted my Facebook days after she said she wanted a divorce per advice of my lawyer. I don't have Instagram or any other social media. He said anything that is inside joke that may be harmless even could be taken out of context being read by a judge in court. I didnt post much other than my kids and me holding fish anyway. I own motorcycles and there are pictures of them on there as well. He said this could portray that I am well off financially and could award her more money. She makes 13k more than I do. Ive gotten used to not having Facebook and it has been really nice. Anyway, we've settled with best possible outcome, joint physical custody, I kept my bikes and no child support or spousal support as well as I keep my pension. I know, insane. However I know couples constantly fight over things as life changes throughout the kids childhood. I want to reactivate my Facebook to reconnect with people but mostly to utilize Facebook marketplace as I rebuild my life. I made a fake account for Facebook marketplace but it appears people don't want to deal with me because there are no pictures, friends, etc on a new account so I think I look like a scammer. I was thinking about reactivating Facebook and blocking her, her friends, and her family. My lawyer said it's just best to not have social media way back when we were going thru the divorce. I don't have pictures of me drunk or anything on there and wouldn't do so because of my job anyways. I'd discuss this with him but ive already spent a lot of money. Craigslist can be shady. What do you guys think or whats your experiences with social media during or after a divorce with children?

Side note the before settlement it got pretty nasty. I saw a side of her I never seen before. Recently we've been getting along however conversations are limited to being about the kids. I still don't trust her
