I met this girl in the park, I made a ton of beta mistakes but got her number anyways. The next day comes and I text:

Me:Hey i'm not doing anything tonight so I figured you'd wanna take me out on a date.

She laughs and agrees. The date goes great, we're flirting, I'm escalating, I thought it was perfect..Then the check comes.

It sits between us uncomfortably, she grabs it and says "We'll split it down the middle."

No fucking way. I make plenty of money, but this girl said she would take me out on a date.

At first I said no, then she said yes and I awkwardly agree to pay for half the bill. I pull out my wallet, I'm really pissed, I tell her "No, you said you'd take me out, I'm not paying for this."

She didn't like that. She ended up paying for the meal. We walk outside the restaurant and I have my arm around her. I can tell the date is over. I say :

"Come on, I'll take you out Monday."

She gets distant. I try and kiss her and she starts saying how she just met me. We go our separate ways and she says "Nice meeting you."

I walk home with a dry dick.

I have no intentions of speaking to her ever again. But what do you think? I think this might be a blessing in disguise. I didn't get laid but I didn't think losing frame and not staying true to myself was worth a little vag. She did end up paying the bill which is why I did try and recuperate things even after I could tell she wasn't interested. I did like this girl and she was pleasant to be around.

The check was 60 bucks. I did get a free sushi meal. lol. I would have literally blown over a 100 bucks on her the following date, but there was no fucking way I was putting up with that. I don't think I could have lived with myself if I had paid for half the meal.

EDIT2: I see what I did wrong. I'm new to the city so I didn't know any bars / restaurants. So I literally tried to manipulate this girl to show me around the city and take me out on a date. Which she did, then after her doing me a huge favor by making all the plans, picking the restaurant, picking the time, i then expected her to pay for me. Excuse me while I shoot myself in the head.
