Title sums it up. Online dating is a shitshow for minorities, blacks included, for reasons covered ad nauseum on the main board. However, I'm currently in an American Ivy League grad school which is full of White males and Asian females, the two groups that do best on dating apps. Without fail, if I'm discussing relationships with a friend in either of these groups, they'll ask "so how's Tinder for you these days?" Note that dating apps are 75%+ of the source of hookups for these folks.

i haven't found a good answer to this question that makes me seem either bitter or like a loser. I've tried to say "I don't like meeting strangers online" but my friends know full well I'll fuck a stranger I met at a club within 15 minutes if she's down. I've tried explaining hypergamy gently or why a minority male won't get many matches, but then it sounds like I'm race-whining (and in the US these days, the media is so racially charged you can't have logical conversations without eyes glazing over). Best I've settled on is, "I take bad photos." To be fair my photos are above but they need to be flawless to compensate.

I'm personally working on raising SMV and getting ripped so I can show muscle in photos, but it will be a while before I get any online success if any. In the meantime how can I deflect questions about it without coming off as a bitch? It's a small school and I feel myself getting the rep of the guy who's obsessed with Tinder because I explain how it works (I did some digging to understand why I never got matches).

Before this is dismissed as a whiny beta minority thread, I want to highlight that I have respectable SMV in real life. 6'2", 210, 14% bf, I've had good jobs and go to an Ivy League as I mentioned, mid-20s with 30-40 lays. The issue is how to deflect when my failure online comes up, which is constantly given the state of college town dating.
