Hello everyone,

I (27f) need your advice. I am active in church and also part of a small group that meets once a week. Our group consists of two married couples who had babies this year (each one), a woman (25f) who is in a relationship but her bf is not part of the group, and myself as well as other people but they join very infrequently.

Since a few weeks a new guy (33m) joined us and the first time we were together as a group it was just the married couples, him and I. It went really well and from what he told us about himself I thought he is a great guy and if he shows interest, I would definitely show him that he can make a move or even make a move myself. That first time he also made a lot of eye contact and smiled at me. Which I took as a good sign.

So now the next few times that we meet as a group the other girl joined again and he only looks and smiles at her, barely even notices me. She is in a relationship as I said and also frequently talks about her bf and they own a house together etc so it is very obvious that they will probably get married at some point etc

I am not saying he has to show interest or anything but my question is if I should try to get his attention in any way? Would it seem over the top or jealous if I tried talking to him more? Would it be more classy to just watch? In general I am more of a quiet person but provide my input and insights when we discuss questions.
