Marriage and divorce laws are very biased against men in many countries and we are seeing men react to this bias against them. In many western countries we see MGTOW, in Japan they have the herbivore men and in India the marriage strike.

People act in incentives and disincentives. Marriage has many disincentives for men, do more and more men are deciding not to marry. This should come as no surprise and will likely be a growing trend as long as marriage and divorce laws overall discriminate against men.

I don't believe marriage gives the right to demand sex any time you want. Coercing someone into sex against their will is rape. There is no doubt over it.

However, even a man can be coerced into sexual intercourse against his will whenever he is either stressed out, exhausted or just not in the mood and there is no law for that. No matter what a person's definition of rape is...this particular case talks about coercion which can undeniably go both ways. Once we are equal in this aspect, it is somehow discovered that there is no way to implement such a law. There is no way to determine what happens in a bedroom. I feel there are more cases of male coercion because women generally want to tie men down into the marriage so that they are more financially secure in case of a divorce. In India, even today, majority of couples have wives who earn less than their husbands or not at all. An official number of cases can be found where there are more women who file for divorce and maintenance from the husband by alleging impotency and gain all the advantages of the divorce while the man just wants more time before he wants to engage in sexual intercourse with a woman he just married(cus of arranged marriages which is prevalent in India)

We may actually need the marital rape law for men more than women..but there is no way to implement such a law as law can't enter people's bedrooms. Only guidelines on how to leave such a marriage can be provided for the affected party.

Marital rape is rape. If people don't think so...schooling has been of no use to them.

Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code says that sex acts with a woman against her consent is classified as rape.

However, there is an exception made to this law if the woman is the man's wife and older than 18.

We can all agree that this 'exception' to rape is disgusting and immoral and the high court in Delhi is currently deliberating whether nor not to overrule it.

Let's all hope that they get rid of this exception entirely.
