A majority of TRPers are TRumP supporters. We love him for his leadership skills and brute strength. Also the way Trump addresses political corruption/rigged systems and politically correct culture is relevant to TRP.

He's not going to win. He's going to lose decisively in the popular vote (probably by 4 or 5 points) and in an electoral landslide. NY, IL, CA, DC, OR, WA, VT, MA, NH, ME and CT are all total locks for Clinton. All she needs to do is pick up PA, FL or OH, and it's done.

Rigged polls aside I think he has a legitimate chance. Dads are tired of PC bullshit - if they get off the couch in November we win. If he loses, the Republican party is no more. They'll pump in immigrants to permanently rig the democratic vote. If Hillary wins, 8 years boys, 8 long years.

All trump had to do was not alienate the minority vote and he blew that up in catastrophic fashion over a year before the election.

Protectionism is typically bad on all fronts for an established economy, but only when comparing like economies. The US economy can be compared to the European economy in terms of culture and standards.

It cannot be compared to, say, China, where workers have virtually no rights and environmental standards are all but nonexistent, and the government doesn't bat an eye about protecting blatant copyright theft.

If the alternative is Chinese labor in sweat shops afforded no protections, the US should absolutely step in to protect it's businesses. The US should absolutely protect airspace- Airbus is on the public dole in Europe anyways so it's basically the same thing with Boeing or Lockheed- but, say, automobiles? I honestly think American car companies would still be stuck in the 80's were it not for Japan's kick in the pants.
