Since there are at least 3 comments that aren't visible, I'll go with the scrotes silencing thing.
Also, their campaign or harassment seems to be getting worse, doesn't it? I guess they've all managed to shirk off every last responsibility they have to their mom or bangmaid while they spend all day giving themselves Peyronie's and harassing women online.

Are you a WOC? Even if you are, it’s really best avoid blanket statements like that. I personally hate statements like that, especially coming from women who aren’t WOC or who aren’t dark. It’s an overgeneralization. You can say darker women are valued less in the social hierarchy or beauty standards in most societies trend toward lighter skin and Eurocentric features. But the above statement is loaded with inferences that just aren’t true. While it is true most societies are colorist, many darker women did not grow up being told they were ugly. It’s much more insidious than that. For example I grew up being told I was very beautiful, because I am. I never had an issue with self-esteem or my skin tone. What was wearing was constantly seeing black women represented by women who are biracial at best. So you could say something about the erasure of unambiguously black women or other women of color. Like how in Bollywood they tend to use very light actresses even though that’s not representative of the population at all. Or if you’re not part of the demographic, you can just say, “and WOC experience XYZ issue even more intensely” which leaves space for them to come and fill in their own experiences. And it also leaves room for different types of experiences. For example a dark model like Naomi Campbell is obviously not considered ugly, but she’s had a different experience from a model like Tyra Banks. So it’s a matter of all of the stereotypes and negative imagery that get applied to darker women

I noticed another comment in here that said there was something wrong with this if a white woman said it, but I think (and I'm a woc for what it's worth) that regardless of who says this it's a totally legitimate thing to say, because it's true. Obviously some woc don't experience this (e.g. Zendaya types or ones with eurocentric features), but it does speak to my experience and that of every other woc I know IRL. If a white woman said this, I'd just be relieved that for once they aren't sweeping lookism (and how it impacts different ethnicities differently) under the rug.
