As the title says, I'm 14 and have my own opinions on feminism. I'm not here to argue, just here to state my opinion.

The feminist movement has been around fr over 100 years and was started as a way of demanding equal rights for the women of the world. Of course, women's place in society was much different 100 years ago than it is now, and in my opinion, has accomplished a lot to equal rights, but has failed to change throughout the many years.

Originally feminism was focused on the systematic oppression of women, which was decently rampant in the 19 century and earlier, but the problem is that systematic oppression against women in today's society is basically non-existent in most 1st world countries. With feminism's main focus being basically eradicated, where does this leave feminism?

feminism in the 21st century has done very little to strive for equal rights, with most feminist groups just making up problems that don't exist or blaming already existing problems on men. Of course, there are feminist groups that actually care about equal rights, but those often get taken over by extremist men-haters.

From my observations, most oppression against women in this day and age is entirely social problems rather than systematic oppression or employment biases.

I have been visiting feminist groups on the internet, trying to understand what their opinions are, but I have found that most of the people on these groups fail to look at a problem from the viewpoint of men, giving them a biased and often sexist view of problems, not considering the fact that men have opinions too.

In my class at school, (bare with me,) there is a group of girls who make it blatantly obvious that they hate men. They are so idiotic and irrational I never thought that people like this exist outside of the internet. They have chanted "Kill All Men" several times and have made fun of other boys in my Spanish class because the word 'toilet' in Spanish is a masculine word. Seeing that people say these things outside of the internet, completely unironically, gives me little hope for the future of humanity.

I want to make it clear that I don't hate feminism entirely, just the majority of it. I have so much respect for true feminists on the internet who have to deal with radical "feminists" slandering the name of feminism. If all feminists could act like adults and actually be rational, I would love to be a feminist ally and actually work together for equal rights for men and women, but unfortunately, true feminists are a dime in a dozen.

These were my opinions of feminism. Feel free to ask me anything in the comments. Have a nice night my bros, and stay strong.
