So, I was watching a video of this lesbian, and of how she turned into a lesbian after having a boyfriend for six years. She made some valid points. In general, she talked about male ignorance, or at least what male ignorances cause in men. Many people would've taken offense from this. People don't want to be labeled as ignorant. Though I see where she's coming from, and I'm going to explain why.

We put men inside these boxes, a lot of it actually has to do with masculinity, but not all of it.

Our masculinities teach men, and force men to be.. simple mindless and tough drones.

Basically brutes, but often times the aggressive part of brutes is seen as wrongful, so often times brutes without the aggressiveness. Which In general is just an unevolved pitiful version of a human being. Take Jerry Smith, from the TV show Rick and Morty for example.

We do this because this state of being is considered the strongest, and it probably was, in more of an archaic fighting lions and tigers type of life.

But life has changed. We still force men to be simple mindless and tough drones.

We don't allow men to live the human experience. Here are some examples of that.

Fruity alcoholic drinks, they're considered not masculine, and many men are shamed for drinking them, the drinks don't fit the mold of a simple mindless and tough drone. A drink that more so would is a drink with a higher alcohol content, something that tastes worse, is more unpleasant. Well, males are human beings, we have taste buds and the parts of the brain associated with them, therefore typically we will like the taste of sweet fruity things. We should allow men to drink those things. We're stealing the human experience from men. I'm not saying that all men are like this, or that all is the case for any of my examples, I'm just saying it's common.

More examples are things to do with emotions, emotional expression, journaling, crying, etc. They don't fit the mold of the man, so they're shamed in men. Emotions are beautiful, a beautiful part of the human experience, one without fully living them misses out. Many famous psychologists claim that emotional suppression is the cause of most mental illness, mental illness seriously inhibits the human experience, and inhibits well being and success in general, emotional problems can cause many other problems. Without emotions we can't properly connect with people, they can't connect with us, there are consequences to that. Etc.

Other activities that often don't fit the mold of the man are things like yoga, meditation, art, reading, some grooming activities, going to the hospital, seeking help, going to therapy, sprucing up ones body with things like jewlery and makeup, and there are a whole load of other things I'm not going to list. It goes on forever. It's most things in some part at least.

Have you ever seen a man who walks with his arms a little more out to the side than they should be? He's trying to make himself look bigger. Or men who deepen their voices. It's cringe. They lack self awareness. It's caused by these boxes we give them.

These masculinity boxes aren't all there is. A lot of it is also the school systems. It's how the school systems are certenred around conformity, and how men naturally conform less than women, and how men suffer from that. The school systems need to be made to better accommodate men.

Each man needs to question himself, abolish these masculinity boxes, and then help other men to abolish them as well. Speak your mind around other men, which can be hard when they have these boxes, but it's necessary. Evolve the people around you.

We should only do what's truly best, and not what out boxes tell us to do.
