If my daughter hit anybody, I'd be having a long talk with her about keeping her hands to herself, regardless of if she hits someone physically stronger than she is. I'd teach her that domestic violence affects both men and women, and it's shameful if she were to be domestic towards the people she date. Being a woman doesn't justify domestically abusing your partner. There are very few reasons I would allow it.

Some people bruise easily. You are discussing separate parts details that don't compare. Her slapping him indicates she deliberately open handed hit him, giving her a black eye could be anything from a thoughtless backhand to a full body right hook. I once got a black eye from a tennis ball that I threw.

You assault someone they don't owe you a fair fight. Any slap that isn't playful done in response to words is initiating violence. In all violent altercations I condemn the initiator. I don't care if he called her GIJane, you don't initiate violence.

Fuck no. To hit someone in the eye is actually really dangerous. A person could go blind from that. If she got slapped in return that would be understandable tho a cowardly thing to do. Hit back if necessary, but I don't believe in paying back just for the sake of paying back. Regardless, I'd have a serious conversation with her about ever laying hands on anyone, about the danger that yes, the other person may be inclined to return it, about how relationships should be. From the moment either of them attacks the other the relationship has become abusive and I wouldn't enable it any longer.

Black eye? No. Slapping her back? Hell yeah. You got balls enough to hit someone, damn well better expect to get hit back. Giving her a black eye for slapping him though? I think that is a bridge too far tbh

As another commenter said, I’d defend my daughter even if she was in the wrong, and I would do the same for my son if roles were reversed. Not a healthy relationship for them to be in if one is gonna slap the other. I wouldn’t dream of raising a finger to by fiancé no matter what he says to me. A playful smack upside the head sure. But we do that to each other😂 no but that’s one thing and I think that’s just a way for couples to have fun

I kinda of wouldnt cause there is a huge difference between slapping someone and giving a black eye, if her boyfriend slapped her back, i wouldn't mind at all, but a black eye.......

Yes I would, especially if I've already told her never to put her hands on any man. Some people learn the hard way, but at least they learn.

BTW, I'm a woman. I don't believe in hitting any man no matter what. My parents are peaceful people and so am I.

Actions have consequences, and sometimes those consequences result in a black eye.
