Men aren’t going to be there for women in traditional ways and most feminists I know are losing their $hit over it.

Without exception every defense of Will Smith's violent assault I’ve personally heard so far comes from women.

Am I the only one curious what she said to Will Smith? Like I saw the video he was fake laughing at the joke the moment he heard it, he did NOT hate it when he heard it. She wasn't laughing, and the next we see him hes marching up to do business. Everyone is going to look at Will Smith and Chris Rock for this. Completely forgetting that there was a woman behind this act that is going to get zero accountable for inciting this. Maybe. All I'm saying is something happened between the first moments of him hearing this joke and not hating it and then marching up to stage. Something happened, and there is only one possible source for whatever incited him to commit violence.

He saw her roll her eyes, and thought shit what would Tupac do....who knows it felt staged but the response after made it seem real.

[–]badblue81 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Everyone is going to defend Will because he was standing up for a woman. Chris Rock will apologize some time today or tomorrow and by next week this will just be a meme we beat to death until the next celebrity bullshit.

Real or Fake, this seems like a stupid thing to pay attention to when WW3 might be this year.

Honestly, it’s Will’s responsibility to behave like an adult. Jada may be a shrew, but it’s up to him to have the self-respect to stand up to her or even walk away. His pattern of behavior up to this point indicates that he is not willing to lose her, though, so I only wonder what sort of crazy and degrading stuff he’s done behind closed doors in order to stay in her good graces.

What a great lesson to teach your kids - to slap your way out of problems.

It’s the feminist way

[–]camo_titanics_alt 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Isn't the feminist way to insult somebody you don't agree with instead of making a rational arguement and make fun of genetics?

[–]Drifter64 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The feminist way is to use shame and guilt against people they disagree with.

And violence

[–]waterim 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

so the patriarchy is great when its in defence of women

Toxic masculinity is the most beautiful thing she's ever seen when it triggers her fetish.

The majority of NPCs will claim to "disagree" with what Will Smith did. The difference is they won't cancel him, like they would if a man hit a woman, or a white man hits a black man.

[–]s0lesearching117 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

Guys, you just don't understand. It was okay because Jada's feelings were hurt. The feelings of women are important and must be respected and preserved at all costs. You see, Will was forced to hit Chris! (And that's a good thing.) What else could he have possibly done to address the situation?

The most important thing is her truth and her honor, and it's his duty as a husband to humiliate himself in front of millions of people and face potential legal consequences any time her feelings are hurt so that she may feel whole again.

Powerful.

Hope you're being sarcastic.

[–]s0lesearching117 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, naturally. I should have capitalized every use of the word HER, though. Missed opportunity there...

[–]Styles_Jh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I dont care about her feelings. Or any woman's feelings for that matter. They're so fucking overdramatic

[–]TAPriceCTR 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Love all the leftists declaring that violence is the appropriate response to mean words... they're finally not pretending to live up to the standards they demand of those they disagree with.

[–]googitygig 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

This isn't a left Vs right issue. Stop trying to make it one.

Reddit is heavily left leaning and the vast majority seem to be condemning Smith.

[–]ABeeBox 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't know..

It seems like situation has its own compass.

On one hand you have people cheering it on because she's 1. A woman 2. A minority. Then you have the other side of things that are against it because 1. It unaggrevated assault 2. People cheered for it.

I've heard people make countless jokes about diabetes, AIDS/HIV, Cancer and it doesn't make sense to me how a joke on alopecia can warrant such a response. There are men who are insecure with their baldness but they receive the "tough luck" but when a woman is bald its "powerful" and "encouraging".

Maybe I'm thinking too much into it but I associate with the left consciously hating men and the right unconsciously hating men.

[–]googitygig 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Maybe I'm thinking too much into it but I associate with the left consciously hating men and the right unconsciously hating men."

I think you've hit the nail on the head with this one. Although I wouldn't phrase it as holistically as you. I'd say that people who consciously hate men tend to be left leaning and people who unconsciously hate men tend to be right leaning. But those people are a minority in both groups.

Both "sides" have their issues which is why I don't think it does any good to try pin the blame on one political ideology.

It only serves to alienate one side and lead to infighting. Mensrights will have the most success if it transcends the political spectrum.

[–]Whitified 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fine, feminists and white knights then, how bout that

[–]Whitified -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No one on the Left "condemned" Smith. They simply "disagreed" with what he did.

There will be no outrage, no anger, no cancelling, no mob movement of any sort on social media. Neither will there be any had Chris pressed charges and Smith went to jail.

[–]TAPriceCTR -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I can't say you're COMPLETELY wrong. I guess tradcons are roughly as likely to support this act of violence as the wahmen_worsters.

[–]Mother-Key582 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah I mean if someone provoked me to that point, I’d probably get violent, but it would take A LOT for someone like me to be like “ok that does it … BUB.” I love how people think ONLY the right wingers are the bad ones and the leftists are innocent widdle angels. Both sides have their problems … but I will NEVER lean left.

[–]TAPriceCTR 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not me. I'll only get violent in response to violence. If any insult could justify an act of violence my ex manipulating her cyber boyfriends with stories of marital rape would have done it.

Low-level hybristophilia is well-known. Check out Newcastle town centre on a Friday night.

[–]McFeely_Smackup 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

'When I saw a Black man stand up for his wife. That meant so much to me,' she added

aside from the rather unveiled racism, I wonder what it meant to her when Will laughed at the joke until Jada started making eyes at him?

Basically what I'm getting from this is Tiffany doesnt' usually think much about black men, but when they go alpha dog she starts to moisten.

[–]googitygig 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seriously. Post an archive link or screenshot or something.

Giving them more clicks is exactly what they want. Scum tabloids are scum this is news to nobody. They're even more likely to post stuff like this when you literally drive traffic straight to them.

Could we have a BETTER example of Toxic Femininity?
