You don't alpha out your boss. THAT is a beta move, to hinder your position for a spike of ego boost. Never outshine your master, think what you want but behave like others etc.

If you have a good boss, he'll mentor you and he'll bring you up with him. In which case, pay attention to what he says and hold on to him.

If your boss sucks you can either get a job or put up with him.

There's only one way you can out Alpha your boss and that's to get promoted above him.

The only time it is acceptable is when he is already on his way out.
