‘Raped’ when the rapist is male ‘had sex with’ when the rapist is female. Yea tell me more about double standards.

Its mostly due to outdated legal descriptions.

By definition , in most countries(including the UK), only men can be convicted of rape...as the legal definition reads " penetrated by a penis".

Even if say ..a woman forcefully penetrated an unwilling and non- consenting woman or man with a strap on....it's not classified as rape...as rape specifys that a penis must be involved.

A woman can usually only be convicted of rape as an accomplice...IE she held the victim down while a male raped him/her.

It's why a women committing sex crimes is never classified as rape.....and is often classified as "sexual assault" or "forced penetration"....often with a lesser sentence.

If I remember correctly France changed this law recently...to leave rape as a more open ended charge.
