Something like this already happened here in Australia. Women went on a day strike and it was mostly business as usual. But when the men (train drivers) had a strike there were huge disruptions, anger, panic and chaos.

This probably won’t go the way this person tweeting thinks it will lol.

Interestingly I would like to add that men were FINANCIALLY LIABLE for women’s actions if they were married. Therefore it’s hardly fair that men be blamed for women not being “allowed” to work, or to “own their money,” because men were also responsible 100% for women’s actions. Men could also be held liable for neglecting their wives. Essentially women were treated like minor children under the law. Whether that seems sexist or not, it was something men also DID NOT BENEFIT FROM in many cases.

In the 1600s I had a family member who had to pay a fine to a neighbor woman because my relative’s wife was harassing the neighbor about something. The male was responsible for his own wife’s idol gossip and complaints, etc!!

I don't think it will happen simply because most people can't gamble their livelihood on political protest. And, unfortunately, those most affected by Roe being overturned are the ones who can least afford to lose their jobs- ie, the poor.

Rich and middle class women will move states or go on a weekend trip to a progressive state. It's poor women (and their families) who will be stuck. And it looks pretty grim, with some politicians already gunning for bc and laws being passed to charge women getting abortions with murder. I'd be terrified to go to a hospital with a miscarriage in those states (like Texas).
