I feel like these recent decisions were less about life or religion, and more about purposefully putting women in the same place men are when they find out they're pregnant. Sure, now women don't have the ability to unilaterally decide against being a mother, but wouldn't it have been better for men to just allow paper abortions? This might have achieved some level of equality in terms of reproductive responsibility, but at the cost of putting women through needless trauma, it's really just a lose lose for all involved.
