Stop viewing the situation as a battle between you and your ex wife. 4 nights a fortnight is enough to build a great relationship with your son. It's all I get and I have a great relationship with my kids.

If you focus on the past you will ruin the rest of your life. Let it go and move on. Yes it sucks what happened and the system isn't fair, but you can win by becoming happy and successful despite what happened.

Making this video is risky but I say well worth it. I'm not experienced or old enough to know what's happening to you but If I'd known about how violent and messed up the environment I was at when I grew up I'd have left my mother's in a heartbeat. You have a few things to your favor: your kid is old enough to know you aren't the abuser, and it's important that you prevent her from lobotomizing him from that truth, secondly is that in some states a kid can request to live with the opposite parent ( wait for your kid to be mature enough to suggest this idea to him 14 to 16) hell he may even request to do so without you doing anything.

When interacting with the mother never follow her to her car or home even if invited and record your interactions with her as much as the law allows (this saved my dad countless times when dealing with my mother).

I respect your comment and agree with it 100%. However, I think part of the reason why men are so ruthlessly attacked in family court is that there's absolutely no recourse against those involved. I might just be one dude, some dude in some small city in Oregon no one knows or cares about, but I had the evidence to prove my ex lied. I owe it to myself, my son and everyone who's been a victim of false claims to shout my story from the mountain top.

Maybe this does absolutely nothing for my son and I, but I have two choices, share my story or accept that the Family Court took complete advantage of me and just accept that I'm a victim of false abuse claims.

I felt like I was as careful as I could be. Mainly used public records like court audio, ect. If you see anything that you think might cross that line, I would willingly listen, but I believe I was careful enough not to include anything I couldn't prove (defame).

Thank you! I appreciate that. I will never again be alone with this woman ever again. The judge criticized me for recording so many of our interactions and I think my brain melted when he did. Apparently it's a bad thing when men record interactions with the intention of keeping themselves safe from false claims or abuse.

We live in a crazy world!

I'm sorry to hear that you grew up in such an environment. I think the one thing you really start to understand when you become an adult is how powerless children are when it comes to those and the actions of those around them. I didn't grow up in an abusive household but my Mom was emotionally unavailable and my father was a methhead. The circumstances devastated my brother and sister. I lucked out to a small degree because it made me resistant to that stuff. I make sure that my son knows how much I love him and I tell him I will never stop fighting until I have him as much as his Mother. I don't get into specifics, but there will never come a day where my son questions my desire to have him. Thank you for the reply!
