Edit: the women in the video were arrested. They are facing multiple charges including assault.

[–]Cosplayfan007 247 points248 points249 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

They have apparently had their day in court too on another thread. They owe 20Gs in damages. Not sure about anything else.

[–]bludstone 137 points138 points139 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

im sure theyll pay.

uh huh

/s

[–]Cosplayfan007 66 points67 points68 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

They aren’t going to pay unless you garnish their paychecks…IF they even have a job that is.

[–]NavDav 51 points52 points53 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fight over garnish? Get garnished!

[–]WhyDoesThisHappen85 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Tf do you think man lol

People like that are hardly human let alone working members of society

They got fat asses so they find someone just smart enough to have a blue collar job and just dumb enough to think associating with them is worth it.

They're taught to get knocked up and get paid.

Subhuman garbage.

[–]LordGraygem 65 points66 points67 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Shit, just stopping the hair and nail treatments would cover a good chunk of that.

[–]Kingofthegnome 46 points47 points48 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Wait...they pay to look like that?

[–]LordGraygem 27 points28 points29 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, and not pocket change either. That long hair you see is almost certainly due to extensions, and those can run--depending on the technique used to add them--anywhere from a couple hundred on the low end all the way up to 4 figures on the high.

Nails are considerably cheaper, but could still run around $50-$100 for a full set.

[–]giobniu 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

their hair looks to be professionally braided and the nails definitely aren’t cheap.

those kinds braids are part of black culture, so you come off as a weirdo to suggest that their hair is trashy or unkempt, even if the intent was to vaguely slight the specific women for their terrible actions

[–]FarFeedback2 47 points48 points49 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

RORed with no bail.

[–]they_be_cray_z 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Sorry, what does ROR mean?

[–]FarFeedback2 39 points40 points41 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

released on recognizance

Got outta jail free.

[–]harsh4correction2 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Got outta jail free.

Not what that means but ok.

[–]FarFeedback2 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually, its exactly what it means. Until their trial is completed, they are out of jail. For free. No bail.

[–]skuba_stevee 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That’s not how it works

[–]FarFeedback2 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, get out of jail until your court date free.

[–]drjojoro 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Is that the thing where they are not prosecuted for this, but if they get arrested again (in some specific time frame) they get prosecuted for the new crimes AND these?

[–]foranonymoususe 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No. They'll still have a trial to determine guilt. They're just not being held until and through it.

[–]welatshaw01 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's of course assuming they show up for their court date.

[–]kslap777 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I think that is referred to a deferred judgment and I believe RoR is something different and is even less of a punishment. I might be wrong and I'm sure someone else will give a more thorough explanation.

[–]strife696 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

…. What?

RoR is just a no bail release. They effectively had a 0$ bail and arent being held before their trial date. They still have a trial, and a verdict and punishment based on that trial outcome.

Jesus.

[–]RobNHood816 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

RoR is a Signature bond... Maybe that will be easier for them to comprehend. They go to jail and all they do is sign a piece of paper saying they will be at their court date.

It's New York. They're probably already out on bail and the DA will drop all charges.
It's a good thing the employees didn't defend themselves or they would've ended up in Rikers.

My biggest issue with all of this is that in certain cities, the person protecting their business has to fear repercussions from the law. These people know they can do this and not face immediate consequences.

Anyone robbing or trashing a business should be severely beaten or worse....

The lack of consequences should be piss off the people who actually love this restaurant...

[–][deleted] 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Exactly.

[–]Uncle_Touchy1987 46 points47 points48 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

[–]LordGraygem 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

These people know they can do this and not face immediate consequences.

Well, unless you decided to fuck around and find out in a certain bodega.

[–]BirbritoParront 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, but unfortunately that poor man is charged with 2nd-degree murder.

[–]LordGraygem 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh, I know, and it's bullshit. But my point was that in that case, there were immediate consequences. Whatever the verdict against Alba is, Simon's thug ass won't be there to care about it.

[–]BirbritoParront 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem is that it could cost Alba a million or so to defend himself if the DA insists on taking it to trial. Add to that the unknown of having a jury trial to boot.

[–]princelydeeds 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Tar and feathers should still be a consequence for politicians....

[–]emax4 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I'm near Pittsburgh and there's been an outbreak of violence on a strip of businesses. I think it's only a matter of time before all business start arming themselves as law enforcement is aware of how bad it is.

[–]FiremanHandles 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, when law enforcement don't actually have a duty to protect you... I'm shocked it hasn't come to this sooner.

[–]harleysmoke -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Also from Pittsburgh. Not really? It's about the same. South side has gotten a bit more upity that's about it

[–]emax4 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's the strip I was referring to. I wonder why it's there and not the Strip District. Are there no clubs on the strip anymore?

[–]harleysmoke 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lots of bars and clubs still. Its really not that bad outside of people getting to rowdy at times.

Good luck getting jobs in the future and also $1.25 for sauce does seem a bit high if you’re not given an adequate amount in the first place but maybe just don’t buy it? Or just take the L and spend the $1.25 if you want sauce so bad

[–]Jaccat25 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I guess it’s supposed to be a special sauce they make there. Like when you order guacamole at a restaurant. Still pricey but definitely not worth all that. Definitely not worth going to jail. Just don’t pay for the sauce and take your business somewhere else, give a bad review.

$1.25? Welcome to Inflation, 2020-2024

[–]CVanScythe -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Only 2020-2024? That's weirdly specific, considering inflation happens every year and has been for a couple hundred, at least.

[–]Skibo1219 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

true but it hasnt be over 7% in decades

[–]CVanScythe 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Which has what to do with 2020-2024?

[–]Skibo1219 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

If I really have to spell it out for you....

[–]CVanScythe 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I would much rather assume that people aren't stupid enough to believe that heightened inflation is entirely President Biden's fault/doing than the combination of complex global economic complications that are causing it and that said economic issues would simply disappear the moment he's gone, so I would prefer that people actually say what they mean instead of play with words and try to sound smarter than they really are.

It helps when someone utilizes critical thinking skills before they come to any conclusions. In other words, I'm trying to think and ask before I assume. However, as noted, I was already fairly certain what the answer was going to be. I'd just hoped that there would've been a more intelligent reasoning behind it all.

[–]Skibo1219 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Being vague was the goal, it brings out the real thinkers.

I dont entirely disagree, history shows economic [and other major] failures are always blamed on the president in office during that ride down, that cant be avoided. Such things will be dismissed by those who think there is really no one to blame, a victim of circumstances per se, but I dont believe in coincidences, yet fingers are still pointing at everywhere else but where it belongs.

It was obvious there would be upcoming issues and those that knew did nothing. War is good for profits.

Also those that downvote my comments are the clueless ones and/or considered 'useful idiots'.

[–]CVanScythe 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

...it brings out the real thinkers.

What qualifies a person as a "real thinker"?

I dont entirely disagree, history shows economic [and other major] failures are always blamed on the president...

They're not, though. It's always fingered on the [insert noun here] that people want to be at fault for it. The commies, the hippies, the millennials, the satanists, the liberals, the Clintons, the whatever we wanna blame it on because we can. Regardless of their actions, the President cannot, and should not, be solely blamed (or heralded) for an event.

...that cant be avoided.

It easily could be, if people used critical thinking skills instead of believing their opinions are undeniable facts.

Such things will be dismissed by those who think there is really no one to blame...

Very rarely is an individual person to blame for anything. Almost every event culminates from a wide range of complex reasons, usually brought out by other equally complicated events. Like people, society as a whole develops based on its experiences and environment.

Major societal shifts tend to happen when enough/most/all people experience enough of the same things (therefore developing together, equal experience/environment), or when enough people agree on what "the greater good for all" means at that time.

In other words, shit happens all the time everywhere in all sorts of ways for all kinds of reasons and it can effect everyone. Everything isn't Biden's fault, and shit's still going to hit the fan no matter who is in office. Human society as a whole and the events it experiences all over are why shit happens. Everyone everywhere is at fault for everything that happens here.

...a victim of circumstances per se, but I dont believe in coincidences...

From the wiki:

"*A coincidence is a remarkable concurrence of events or circumstances that have no apparent causal connection with one another. The perception of remarkable coincidences may lead to... belief in fatalism, which is a doctrine that events will happen in the exact manner of a predetermined plan. In general, the perception of coincidence, for lack of more sophisticated explanations, can serve as link to folk psychology and philosophy.* *From a statistical perspective, coincidences are inevitable and often less remarkable than they may appear intuitively. Usually coincidences are chance events with underestimated probability.*"

In other words, shit happens all the time. Believing that random unrelated events happen for a specific reason or purpose is unadvised.

...yet fingers are still pointing at everywhere else...

They're pointing at all the things contributing to the issue.

...but where it belongs.

Where you want the blame to go.

It was obvious there would be upcoming issues and those that knew did nothing.

Status quo. They like it that way.

War is good for profits.

Conflict/hardship is always beneficial to upper management. Keeps you afraid and distracted. Keeps you on survival mode. Let's you know who's really in control of your life.

What we need is less blame and fear mongering, and more active policy change.

What we need is to evolve as a society. We're still living by the same rules set hundreds of years (thousands for some rules) ago by people that have almost no existential similarities to present humans. The way people think about things has changed over the last thousand years, the laws we live by should change with them.

[–]Skibo1219 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

It's always fingered on the [insert noun here] that people want to be at fault for it.

I never thought of that in that way. Interesting idea.

I disagree with some of your points, but totally agree with your ending statements. Fear mongering is a major tool for politicians, that will never go away, and because of that, policy will difficult to change. That would be, more or less, a first step to evolving. My crystal ball shows that other countries will take that journey long before our beloved US will, continuously hamstringed by politics.

[–]CVanScythe 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Most other countries are also much older than the US, so they have had more time to get where they are. Some successful, some not so much. The day humans work together as a species rather than individual nations that sometimes get along, that's the day we might make true progress.

Certain types of people may not like him much, but I would recommend watching Michael Moore's documentaries with an unbiased attitude. He talks about this specific topic, and also many related issues. Politics aside, he puts the spotlight on serious problems within the US that need to be addressed.

As long as the people in power are allowed to keep that power while others are left suffering, that power must be revoked, forcibly if needed, and give that power to someone who will do right by all, not just favoring those who've already been favored enough.

I was saying that these chicks were acting like animals, not like decent humans act. I really don't understand how this is racist? Anyone can act like an animal. These girls certainly were. There wasn't a racist thing in my comment, or certainly didn't have any intent for racism.

[–]ZekalMacabre[M] -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Accusing black people of being "animals" is a common epithet that we see as racism.

Poor employee. This bitch is so trashy, and also fuck the company he works for thinking they can charge 1.25 for a little dipping sauce

[–]celeron500 57 points58 points59 points 4 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

Companies also charge for bottled water and people actually pay for it, what’s your point?

[–]JoeBeever 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I just bought 4 jars of Amouranth fart.

[+]surfzz318 -61 points-60 points-59 points 4 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Yeah no shit, but you don’t need a bottle of water to eat your food.

[–]Ok_Store_1983 50 points51 points52 points 4 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

You don't "need" dipping sauces either.

[+]surfzz318 -63 points-62 points-61 points 4 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

That’s not the point, the point is they wanted to charge 1.25 for extra sauce, when it should be like .50 max. Let me shit on this company in peace!

[–]mgmorden 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

The company can charge what they want. If you think it's not worth the price just don't buy it.

[+]surfzz318 -13 points-12 points-11 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I wouldn’t. I didn’t know we had a bunch of capitalist here that enjoy price gouging

[–]celeron500 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

But who are you to determine what the price of extra sauce should be? What if the amount that is already being given free is more than adequate, do you know what the profits margins are on a fries only business, and what if the sauce manufacture recently raised their prices so the restaurant has to make up for it?

And the most important question is wtf do you even care when A.) Free sauce is already being provided, B.) People are obviously willing to pay, because if they weren’t then the price would be lowered and C.) There are people literally behaving like animals, committing felonies and the only thing you seem to care about is the price of the sauce.

You sound like a major idiot!!

[–]surfzz318 -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I don’t care about the price, I didn’t say they were any way in the right. I’m just sticking up for the employee and shitting on the business and the customers. You all just like to argue mute points

[–]celeron500 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And yet you’re the one who keeps getting downvoted.

[–]Bone-Juice 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I wouldn’t. I didn’t know we had a bunch of capitalist here that enjoy price gouging

but clearly you do care about the price...

[–]champagnehurricane 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This dickhead saying they don’t care about the price after explicitly complaining about the price.

[–]Ok_Store_1983 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What is a "mute point"

[–]Bone-Juice 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

price gouging

You clearly do not know what that term means.

[–]celeron500 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Water is free and companies still charge $1.50 where I live for a small bottle, it’s literally free and anyone can fill up their own bottle from a sink.

But that is how capitalism works, if there’s demand for it and people are willing to pay the price, then that’s what your charge.

Is $1.25 a lot for extra sauce, yea prb, but the key word there is extra!!! Thats means the sauce is already being provided. So you want a business who sells french fries which already has low profit margins to continue giving away free product or charge less?

[–]Bone-Juice 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The thing is, if I own something then I get to decide what I am willing to sell it for, not you.

[+]syphon3980 -16 points-15 points-14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

1.25 is pretty ridiculous for fast food dipping sauce ngl. *I'm not supporting the freak out though

[–]Mecha_Derp 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

you sound butthurt because you don’t know how a news report works

[–]blugdummy 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Man, I hate the alt-right and all of the politicians and propaganda machines associated with them. However, Fox News has at least some credibility and it’s from shit like this. Sometimes they just report things without reaching for some awful political spin. Matter of fact, when I hear a story that has any wiggle room for judgement, racial bias, or any opportunity to punch down on whatever it is they are reporting.. I give Fox a chance while looking through news sources. My only reasoning for it is to see how (or if) they spin things to fit their narrative and a surprising amount of their articles aren’t dog shit.

I understand not wanting to give them the clicks or revenue in any capacity but it’s really interesting to see that the news outlet known for being the “beacon of truth” for treasonous tiny-brained traitors can actually take a moderate stance at times. I think this is largely in part by the fact that their talk shows are full of factual reporting with their own shitty political spin to it and it’s only a select few who do this. Meanwhile, writers and editors make up the majority of people that report news in any news outlet (or so I believe- don’t quote me on it). These people may not be as extreme as their tv counterparts. Whether they want to add politics into it or not, they have shown their ability to abstain. Generally, I used to think of Fox as a monolith of shit but some of their articles make it apparent that it is possible for stories to come out of their shit-holes that aren’t completely covered in poo.

In all fairness $1.25 is astronomically high for some bullshit little sauce that you get 3 dips out of, that restaurant should be ashamed of themselves….

[–]Firm_as_red_clay 47 points48 points49 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

there’s nothing fair about attacking a retail worker over a private business’s decision on what to charge for sauce. Go somewhere else with your broke down ass if you can’t afford it.

[+]Gophack_yaselph -58 points-57 points-56 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Oh boohoo…

[–]Firm_as_red_clay 42 points43 points44 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Boo hoo to this hood rat when she goes to jail over ranch dressing. Good riddance. They should be so ashamed that the workers who literally have nothing to do with price should be assaulted. Bring your own sauce yuh crackhead.

[–]BruhUrName 27 points28 points29 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

How is that the employees problem? They don't just pull a number out of their ass and go, "Ok you pay this much"

[+]Gophack_yaselph -18 points-17 points-16 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I never said that was the employees thing.. and I’m not condoning this stupid bitches outlandish behavior either, I’m just saying for a $1.25 it better be a good amount of sauce

in her defense, these fast food workers hugging on the sauce like it comes out they paycheck. all this shit could have been avoided if you just gave the customer some goddam sauce for her nuggets /s

[+]LordGraygem -19 points-18 points-17 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It doesn't matter if it's for tendies, lulz, or fapz, when someone requests the sauce, you give it to them! Sauce (and moar sauce) is a basic human right, not a privilege!

[–]IPmang 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What a ridiculous take. If the business owner doesn’t make enough money, guess what happens? All the employees lose their jobs. It doesn’t “come out of their paycheque” because there is no paycheque.

I mean by your own logic, why not just give away the fries too?

[–]turtlesooup -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are the people behind the counter owners? most likely not. by your own logic all business owners should run their shitty businesses. fuck the owners. give me my sauce. fuck you too.
