This popped up in my FB memories, and I wanted to share it here. Text is copy pasted from FB post in 2010.

10 hours ago, I landed at the Airport from a month long vacation.

8 hours ago, I found my car having been broken into and called the cops.

7.5 hours ago, I got arrested.

6 hours ago, I found out its for rape.

2 hours ago, my lawyer got me released since the accuser said it happened 2 days ago, while I was half way around the world...

5 minutes ago, the girl apologized saying all middle eastern people look the same to her, in front of the cops and my lawyer. (this is made worse by the fact that I'm not middle eastern).

I am so fuckin relieved that I have a lawyer friend who helped me or my life could have been ruined.

I ended up pursuing legal action against her but the judge ruled it in her favor saying "Traumatic event effected her memory". It still pisses me the fuck off.

These designations, which allow law enforcement to close cases without arriving at a conclusion, are used to describe reports without enough evidence, as opposed to cases where the accuser is not credible or says that the account is untrue.[3]

16% of these are SA accusations so that’s 3,200,000 people affected from just SA false accusations alone out of that 20 Million

There’s 463,634 victims of SA and rape yearly

So if false accusations are apparently a non issue they you will have to agree rape and SA are a non issue since they aren’t the norm

Though granted I don’t know if these are yearly or all time but still doesn’t matter since that’s still a huge number of people affected

Both problems need to be worried about you don’t just throw the out just because you believe “real problem” by that logic rape shouldn’t be worried about since murder is a much huge and bigger problem
