I'm struggling to understand this sub because it appears to be one that bashes anyone who complains about misogyny or advocates for women's rights but celebrates the same behaviour when it is fighting misandry or advocating men's rights? That seems strange to me.

The sub seems kinda hypocritical to me because I see so many posts that object to lumping men all into the same bad category because they are a heterogeneous group, yet the purpose of this group seems to be to define all feminists (a VERY heterogeneous group) as bad. There are some terrible people who happen to be feminists. There are also very radical feminists (the "all men are trash" crowd you lot hate). Majority of feminists are not like this, these are just the people who are the loudest. Feminism is far more nuanced than this sub gives it credit for. So attacking it based on a few awful people or the most extreme views that come out of it is the equivalent of saying men are trash - except there are detailed academic papers written to try justify radical feminist positions. I doubt many, if any, people on this sub have read feminist papers.

I am a thorough supporter of men's rights and acknowledge that society makes certain aspects of life more difficult for men than for women. But I don't understand why everyone here hates feminists so much when they are the ones most fervently fighting for men's rights. For a long time I was a part of the antifeminist crowd and never once heard of men's issues except when trying to prove that women don't have it that rough and should just stop complaining because men have it difficult too. It's always been bought up in a reactionary way in those circles. Feminist circles actually discuss it as an independent topic and seek the root causes and solutions, then advocate for that.

I'm asking here because maybe there is a chance that there are strong, very valid critiques of the feminist movement that has been drowned out in this subreddit or that a lot of posters have a knowledge base that they are working off of that is implicit but never cited or mentioned in posts (like feminist subs)
