My uncle was a union leader in the sanitation union in NYC in 1975 when there was a serious sanitation strike. It shut down the city. They tried to arrest my uncle but a strike is legal.

85% of sanitation workers are men, this is what happens when men don't show up to do the dirty work.

We here at The MRM have also failed to "run on what we've got", by exploiting stories like the one in The OP, and instead devoted the majority of our energy to caterwauling over the fact that the public didn't rally behind us, just because we shouted "Men are human and have rights too!!!" on social media. Awful truth, that's almost certain to leave lots of prominent MRAs with their underroos in a twist: We're not divinely ordained Warriors Of Righteousness who've been tasked by The Deities with overthrowing The Evil Feminist Overlords

We're flesh and blood human beings, who have to sell the general public on a product(men's issues)that they're largely unfamiliar with, and that they aren't going to buy unless it appeals to their self-interest in some significant way. When we fail to gloat and promote the many ways in which predominantly-male professions(garbage collectors, tree surgeons, firemen, oil rig drillers, etc)keep civilization running, in favor of babbling about how fucked up society is for neglecting men, we give up an immense tactical advantage that's practically fallen into our laps. We've also made a fatal error, by not hammering home all the ways in which investing in "men's issues" stands to make life a bit easier for the majority of Americans, male and female alike
