The New York Times still support Amber Heard till this day, they portrait her as a poor victim of misogyny and cyberbully...of course there are different journalists working for NYT, but...as a company, they let these pro-Amber Heard articles up and that is fucked up.

But if your church has good intention, I really appreciate that. Just be careful when considering who is our ally.

Dayem. Just won custody at temporary orders hearing today (custody until permanent orders hearing). My narc ex abuser who almost broke my jaw with a baking sheet had tried to take him out of state against a previously signed agreement. Judge was like yeah no.

I think there are so many issues related to this. To name a few:

It’s easy to conflate feminism with women, but they are not the same. While feminism may want to deny help to male victims of domestic violence, this is not representative of what many women feel. We need to be careful not to blame all women for the misandry of feminism. There are many women who support equal rights for men and equal help for male victims.
The NYT article shows how incredibly inconsistent feminist propaganda is with the facts. In this instance for example, the feminist Duluth Model claims men are the primary instigators and women the primary victims of domestic violence, but as this article mentions, many, many studies prove this false, yet the false myth lives on.
Even woke media will on occasion acknowledge discrimination against men. Unfortunately, it’s rare. I wonder when this article was published and I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if it was published as an opinion piece.

Part of the problem are overshadowing culture wars. The left is responsible for feminist overreach but only the right is in a comfortable position to criticize it. Here we have something from a church which automatically causes credibility loss to a leftward observer (which I am).

Meanwhile the American right wing is purging intraparty opposition to the debunked narrative of stolen elections, so there’s a massive loss of credibility of anything coming from the right wing.

So liberal men need to be braver and push back without fear of being shamed or lumped in with a rival party. Ultimately everything is far too polarized and tribalistic.
