Hollywood comes up with so many ways to castrate a male or do some form of cbt, but never a female which at most might get raped and it's never warranted. Can Hollywood come up with some original ideas? How about a movie where a man has a dick that has spikes in it any time a female he doesn't approve of has sex with him, causing her to be mutilated, or a movie where a man gets raped by multiple women and after being left for dead he goes on revenge slicing their nipples off or stuffing a bat wrapped with barbed wire up their cooters.

If Tár were a satisfying moral fable about a gifted but malevolent woman’s well-earned fall from grace, it would be so much easier to write about, and so much less interesting to discuss. Instead, as our (anti-?)heroine faces the repercussions of what appears to be years of at best unethical and at worst illegal behavior toward those with less power than her (which is to say, almost everyone), the questions keep multiplying.

God dam the mental illness keeps coming.

So she's more powerful than her husband, because shes a conductor?

I've done this thought experiment before and it leads to the objective argument that men who have money and also let a girlfriend live with them ave to be raping them by default, since they have so much more "power" than the female, and since she can be said to be coerced into sexual acts by the fear of saying no leading to breaking up and then leading to homelessness.

Conductors can't coerce people. People have free will and can quit, like that guy calling her a "fucking bitch". He showed how limited her so-called "power" is but when you're in the thrall of feminist dogma the counter-examples are white noise.

Let me get this straight…this movie is about a woman who uses her position of power to coerce other people beneath her into sexual relationships that they otherwise wouldn’t engage in, and you’re upset because they made the movie about a woman who’s doing this and not a man?

Doesn’t this subreddit always complain that men are the ones who are portrayed in a negative light? And then now instead of making a movie about a man who does this, they pick a woman to be the one who leverages her power to do immoral/illegal sexual activities, and you’re upset?

Am I missing something here?

Doubt (2008) was exactly such a movie. It was sympathetic to the alleged male perpetrator.
