For example I'm 25 F and whenever we discuss what women are looking for in love there's an immediate assumption that I'm a heterosexual woman which just isnt true. And then naysayers insist my dating pool must be very small because very few MEN meet what I'm looking for. But I don't really care if men in particular dont meet everything I'm looking for because I'm very bi/pan etc. I'm open to dating any gender of any sexuality as long as we have love and chemistry. I'm not confined to a specific race, gender, etc when searching for a partner. Most heterosexual men on this subreddit wont admit this but they typically have some racial preferences (typically white / asian more commonly, sometimes open to Latin / native American etc but almost never seem interest in black or indian women). You guys also have factors that reduce your dating pool is what I'm saying and all of that really does matter. I'm not sure why we straight up refuse to think in terms outside of western white heterosexual cis gender type ideology in these discussion when other gender and cultures make a massive difference. In gender experiences alone, the experiences of a white American heterosexual woman will be dramatically different than a black trans man in Asia for example. Why do we not talk about the struggle of these individuals? Why do we refuse to acknowledge that they exist. Dialogues about how a white woman in America may be put on a pedestal, completely ignore how her Latina sisters or Indian sisters are not. How women's and men's experiences are dramatically different all over the world, and how orientation has everything to do with our dating pool as well.
