I think submitting within a loving relationship is very different than submitting to men in general just because they’re male. I let my husband take more of a leadership role in our relationship because it gives me a peaceful space to raise kids, be a homemaker etc. - things I enjoy doing anyway. The majority of men have done nothing to earn my trust, and I treat them neutrally like I’d treat any human being. If a random man tried to dominate me, it wouldn’t go very well.

Because that question you're posing is going to have a different answer depending on who you ask. The movement towards freedom and equality does not mean men and women have to be 50/50 across the board. That is forcing equality of outcome.

The real freedom and equality is where men and women have reasonably equal ability to pursue what they want in life. The difference between the sexes is that men and women make different choices and that is where we have a difference in the makeup of Healthcare vs. STEM for example.

My question to you is why do you feel women playing a submissive role are any less free or equal? The women in this sub choose their partners and have expectations upon their partners. They are not weak by any means.

For me, I'm not playing a role. I'm naturally submissive in personality. He's naturally caretaking and protective. I thrive best under his guidance in a support role. I'm nurturing and our traits balance each other out.

For me, I could not thrive or be happy in a different style. The things that made me an unattractive partner to most, is why he chose me. I'm happy to follow his lead, give my opinion where I have one, and let him decide. ♥️ making him happy makes me happy.

yes it's healthy, especially executed in the right way.

Men want to be in charge and have a natural instinct of protecting and providing. If he has to do that, he wants his partner to follow his decisions, because he is responsible of protecting and providing.

Now that doesn't mean she has to become a slave, but submit to a path he chooses. Men tend to be older in relationship, and make decisions based on more experience, however, women can influence the decision whenever they choose. It's easy to impact a man's decision, by just stating what makes the woman happy and sad. Men adjust their "decisions" according to what is best for their woman and their family. Sometimes he'll disagree with his woman if he thinks something else is better for the both of them, but usually he'll adjust his decision to make her happy.

Like of course we could discuss biological evolutionary reasons but that's not what I'm talking about, like in a society (trying to) move towards freedom and equality, why do so many women desire to play the submissive role and vice versa?
