So I'm planning a divorce, but it may take awhile. Possibly up to a year. I (M44) want my freedom from my obese wife (F44) who has zero interest in eating right and taking care of herself.

She's lazy and fat. She always eat wrong even though my hard-earned money pays for her nutritionist to give her good advice that she then ignores. So I blew up my old Facebook account and deleted it entirely. It had most of our 13 years of marriage memories on it. All gone. I'm happy. :)

I started a new Facebook account. She sent me a request. But I'm trying to be careful and only use my Facebook account for work and potential future female partners. Therefore, no family, friends of family or especially my wife.

So I've got to save up some money and plan my exit. That means I'll live with her a year before I drop the divorce news. Just wondering: Is it OK to see people before I'm legally divorced?

What's the best way to tell a woman I plan to divorce her?

We have no children and just a dog. About $2,000 in the bank is all. So no assets to split up. Just a couple vehicles. I figure she'll get a vehicle, the dog and our houseware stuff. I'll just save up for a move into a studio apartment.

I plan to drop the divorce news then -- boom -- move into my new studio apartment after the paperwork is served. But I have to plan carefully.
