Grouping here (US) is considered sexual battery. He’s obviously a piece of shit if he’s doing that to young girls. Perhaps he has a history of it as well. (I didn’t read the article). But as a mother of a 13 year old girl I don’t have sympathy for him and he’s lucky he got turned in instead the parents handling it.

Okay, aren't MRAs the SAME guys who point out the fact that men are sentenced to 63% longer sentences than women for the same crime? Where's all this "he broke the law, fuck him, I don't care" energy when it comes to that?

Now we have an example of basically just that... a man committing sexual assault but being convicted of rape is ethically wrong.

Everyone with any sense should want this dude to be held accountable for the crime he committed, SEXUAL ASSAULT. He should not be convicted of "rape".

The disparity between rape of a minor & something like grabbing a girl's ass is fucking monumental... it's like saying "a guy was convicted of murder because he punched someone? Good, FUCK HIM".

Two things can be true at the same time: this man SHOULD be held accountable but he SHOULDN'T have been convicted with rape.

If I'd know any better, I'd say the knee jerk reaction in the comments stems from this desperation to "prove" how "pro-female/anti-SA (beyond reason)" MRAs really are. Again, you can be fair & still call out bullshit when you see it.

If being "inappropriately touched" was "rape", then fuck, I have been "raped" several times. What a joke. It's not a pleasent experience, sure... but come on.... on the same level as rape? Fuck outta here. That's an insult to actual rape victims.

On what context did this man grab the girls ass? Was it by accident, or was it he was trying to react quickly like in a fight or flight type of situation or did he do it because of whatever sinister sexual things he has in his mind? But either way, one thing it definitely does not equal is getting charged with rape

There was even a case where a guy didn't pay for a prostitute in Australia after banging her. He was jailed for rape.

If anything and everything is rape whenever the women say it, why do even have laws?

And if you frequent this sub, women nearly never get punished for literally raping children (men too). Cos according to most laws its only rape if it happens to a woman.

If justice is only for one gender, it isn't justice.
