In greece, some words are gendered. Not in a bad sense. For example, your word for adoption is male-child-adoption(its one word in greek, Im trying by best to translate. We do not consider male and female child adoptions with different name.s its just male child adoption for everyone)
So, recently, there is one campaign by the Greek media trying to change the word to child-adoption, because the current word implies that only men should be adopted.
They forget however, that 70% of adopted children are females. Should we have an extra 20% of male children be adopted? Should we make it illegal to have unequal numbers of male and female children adopted? Afterall, it would support equality. But no. They want BOTH.
Im interested in starting a countercampaign with some(adult) friends of mine that have some influence(im 14 years old and i met them accidentally) and aggree with me. Should I proceed with it?
