This is not a subreddit to discuss trans rights issues.

People have been imprisoned for child abuse for far less. There’s a reason this is illegal in every state except California.

As I’ve said earlier, it’s so misleading for California to call this gender affirming. A mom wants to physically change her young son into a daughter. Forcing such a sex change procedure on a young boy isn’t affirming his gender, it’s quite the opposite: it’s a forced change.

I think dads snatching their sons and escaping the US could be a good thing when the mother is that dead set on mutilating their kid.

[–]Trev6ft5 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

An extreme example of how many women tend to put feminism and the sisterhood before the interests of their sons.

That kid will have likely go through alot of pain as he grows to adulthood and he begins to forge his own identity away from his crazy mother. And jesus she's a doctor too.

Sadly it's an issue here in the uk where kids are put through the sex change process by the state and regret it in their 20s

Women absolutely put women and the sisterhood before their own sons. Women full well know marriage is a bad deal for men. Yet almost all mothers pressure their son to get married.

[–]Trev6ft5 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You can't 100% blame women, many men think their woman is a unicorn and ignore red flags or abuse. The red pill is filled with married men.

[–]mopemardermun 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

True, I've always been against the "but she's a unicorn" married guys. Bullshit I say. But I do blame women for most of it. A woman who tells her son to get married does.not love her son period

[–]Trev6ft5 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Unless the women is a red pilled anti feminist and has a strong independent mind that isn't swayed by propaganda and other people and is consistent in the long term and like that before you met her I call BS too.

[–]63daddy 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think it’s more that she’s putting her own misandry ahead of her son’s well being. She wants a daughter so bad and hates having a son do much, she’s will to force him to undergo sex changing procedures at age 10. She’s even willing to go to another jurisdiction to avoid the illegality of her act. It takes some serious misandry (and perhaps some sadism) to do that one’s own son.

[–]Arzakhan 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The specifics of this case are so bs. Child psychologists by the court determined James younger to not be trans, as he’s only a girl and only acts like a girl around his mother.

[+]CalebCJ20 -8 points-7 points-6 points 3 years ago* (13 children) | Copy Link

I'm sorry, but this is just not true on so many levels. This case was big 3 years ago when the kid was seven and a court heard the child had been given the official diagnosis of gender dysphoria after having referred to themself as a girl consistently for years.

When they were 8 years old their mother was granted full custody of them and their twin brother after the children's father failed to pay child support for both children in time.

Now at nine years old, after the child has socially transitioned for more than 2 years the mother can - if doctors continuously agree - try to get the child on puberty blockers, which do not castrate the child.

There are two long term effects of puberty blockers (namely less genetalia growth and body growth) all other effects are reversable. And those long term effects only certainly are staying, if the - then teenager - decides to continue to go on cross hormonal therapy.

Puberty blockers have been used on cis children for decades and without leaving the children castrated or any negative long term effects. If a child goes off of puberty blockers without taking cross hormones they will go through their biological puberty as usual.

We all agree that custody regulations need some serious reevaluation, but don't try to push for it by spreading misinformation.

What about

A subsequent court order, however, specified that “neither parent may treat a child with hormonal suppression therapy, puberty blockers, and/or transgender reassignment surgery (if any) without the consent of the parents or court order,

and

However, the justices wrote that if Georgulas tries to have their son undergo gender transition without her ex-husband’s consent, Younger “could seek immediate appellate relief.”

?

It seems like she can't give puberty blockers without the consent of the husband. The guy is saying she went to california to circumvent this ruling.

Also granting mother full custody because he was not paying CS is beyond fucked.

[–]CalebCJ20 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

She wouldn't be allowed to do so, if the first order wouldn't have been relieved after he didn't pay child support. For both kids.

The court (a Texas court nonetheless) ruled that him not paying CS is showing him not having his kids best interest in mind, which I can see arguments for and against.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

The second quote is from 31st dec and it affirms the first order.

I don't know why you are surprised that a Texas court would pass that order, Texas is a shithole state for joint parenting. Over 90% of the time mother is given primary custody in Texas.

[–]CalebCJ20 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Then I might not have that one. I've seen the first order overruled in 2021. But since the linked article doesn't mention the mother actually having done any medical interventions yet, it's not quite fair to assume otherwise, either.

It surprises me as, if memory serves correctly, Texas is not known for being a save space for trans youth.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

That is the whole point, she wasn't able to do anything (at least there is no evidence of that) till now due to that court order, but now she might be able to do that in California because of a new California law.

Texas being safe space for trans or not doesn't matter, it is full of white knights so they always favour women at the expense of men.

[+]CalebCJ20 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I'm not American, so I cannot speak on things that don't make news overseas, so I won't doubt your words here.

Yet, if the child is diagnosed and gets put on PB they will not be chemically castrated due to it. If they have lived as a girl for 3+ years now there does come the point where I tend to trust the physicians stance, over either of the parents stances.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That's not how it works. PBs are not magic, they have side effects - even best of medicines have. You saying they are no big deal is very disingenuous.

If the child grows up and then says he didn't want those medical interventions then the parent(s) and doctor(s) should given the same punishment child abusers get.

[+]CalebCJ20 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I've read multiple studies on PBs. None mentioned any form of dangerous side effects. Let alone as dangerous as life can become if a kid has to live with dysphoria.

Getting PBs is not an easy task. It means the child has been through multiple assessments securing the diagnose of dysphoria, which has more than just one criteria of "mom said so". After getting PBs most kids go through with transitioning, only further proving that they are not given away to anyone like candy.

They are not to be taken as a joke, but they are not anywhere more dangerous as other medicine you'd give to a child

[–]Fearless-File-3625 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You are making it sound like a boy that is given PBs for ~9 years would be same as a boy who didn't, if he stopped. That is certainly not it works. The longer someone is on PBs, they harder it becomes to go back.

Like you yourself admit that getting PBs is not "easy", that wouldn't be case if they were so perfectly reversible.

Give all PBs you want to a child but be ready to face criminal prosecution if that child says he was given all that against his wish.

This article came out a while ago regarding long term ill effects taking puberty blockers for precocious puberty caused some women years later. Bone thinning, degenerative disks, muscle pains etc. For all that I hear that it’s a totally reversible medication that has been safely taken for years, that’s not actually the case. More long term studies clearly need to be about the safety of puberty blockers before they can be proclaimed totally safe but sadly, I don’t think that message is getting out there.

https://www.statnews.com/2017/02/02/lupron-puberty-children-health-problems/

[+]CalebCJ20 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Bone density is most likely to grow after getting off of BBs. It takes a while, as puberty does, but it's coming.

And I do have to wonder how much more happy people are with a child being more likely to off themself, because they are being left alone with dysphoria.

I’m surprised this girl is even alive still
