Why do some ugly men think brooding makes them attractive, cool, and mysterious?

As a guy, it is absolutely funny when I see another guy with a persona of being nonchalant and have that brooding/angry expression.

This is different from someone with a stoic or introverted demeanor. The brooding dudes just seem overboard and unnatural.

The only time I think this is a moot point is when a guy is a top tier male or a celebrity etc.

I wonder how women react or think when they see or interact with people like this.
