I didn't go through all the comments but want to point to what I see as the difference. The man goes to the extent of avoiding going to a female cashier, the woman says she is done with relationships. That's quite a difference. The woman isn't so scared of men she completely avoids all contact.

hmm maybe because the guy does it out of ‘revenge’ and has resentment towards ALL women, whereas the woman wants to stay away from RELATIONSHIPS with men to avoid getting her feelings hurt? as someone else said, people aren’t really supporting her, just letting her know she shouldn’t generalise and that the internet magnifies certain opinions, so what she reads online is not reflective of most men in the real world.

Where? I just read through every reply, it's just a bunch of people telling her she is wrong.

Some people agree that not getting married / having kids isn't a bad idea, but so what? It's not a bad idea, if you don't want those things. Has nothing to do with gender.

Also, people were mostly criticizing that guy because he was talking like a misogynistic sociopath, saying he was ignoring women to get "revenge" and dumb shit like that.

I'm not gonna open those links, i'll just take your word for it, assuming that indeed it's the exact same situation and context between a man who wants to stop contacting women and a woman who wants to stop contacting men, both for the same type of reasons. There is no "You folks" here. There are people, some people here are good, down to earth, while others are indeed hypocrites, most people fall somewhere in the middle. This is a mere sub on reddit, don't think that you're gonna get great advice or meet people that are models of virtue, we don't promise salvation. Difference between a sub like this a community of charlatans like the typical red pill is precisely that we're real from upfront and say we're not promises of salvation or models of virtue, and i think that's a wonderful thing because the sub is real and straight honest. Sorry if the advice in this sub has not been of help to you.

Tbh it's an unfortunate product of modern times.

This happens even on a sub like this one unfortunately.

Whenever I criticise a man, I get upvoted like crazy.

Whenever I criticise a woman, those times I only get downvoted.

Both times I give constructive criticism. Both times I am not looking at anything through any kind of colored lenses.

In this day and age, most people don't think clearly enough to realize women are still people, and therefore are still capable of being shitty. So I can have good and fun conversations with millions of women, but if I find a bad apple and call them out, suddenly I am all the bad things of this world combined into an ultimate package.

This bias is simply hilarious. It happens because everyone thinks they have undoubtable knowledge. So much so that my last comment here where I recommended someone to develop more critical thinking so that they would realize asking a human what reality is is pointless because no human views it with zero distortions, got of course downvoted.

EDIT:

Just so that I do not spread misinformation, it looks like that comment about critical thinking is no longer downvoted.
