Why do we never see pictures or stories of black women being lynched or slain as opposed to the hundreds of photos of men?

Relatively few lynching victims were female, but there are approximately 150 documented incidents in which women were lynched. Their deaths were just as brutal. The reason there is less photographic evidence is simply because it wasn't as common; there are photographs, but I'm not linking to them.

I would assume black women were raped and brutalized.

Like the death penaly in the USA, females are not brutalised in the same way. There is a double standard. Disposable male and the idea of the very disposable black male. There is a pecking order with white females at the top.

My assumption is that black women were not quite as often lynched, thought I'm sure it happened, but were instead beaten, enslaved, and raped.

Sidenote: The person who was blamed for the inciting incident of the Salem Witch trials was a black maid named Tituba. She was falsely accused of being a witch by two bored young wealthy girls looking for some attention and willing to incite another person's murder to get it.

Where have we heard of that before?

There was a study linked on an earlier thread linking ratios of gender/race in prison. All women of all races have smaller rates of incarceration then all men of all races. Black women have the highest rate of incarceration among women 1:18, which is slightly lower then white men 1:17, which is nothing compared to black men 1:3. and white woman have an incarceration rate of 1:111.
