Makes Goldwag come across as someone that will never approve of a non-feminist form of men's rights.

On twitter, Futrelle went from discussing things with me to ignoring me, and I think he realized he was on the losing side of most of these debates.

I'd also note that the comments on the SPLC post are, to be frank, embarrassing. Masturbation jokes, talk of 'butthurt trolls', repeated meme of 'men's rights misogynists', "Awwww, we white males sure have it tough, don't we? Boo-hoo-hoo!", stuff like that.

It reads more like SRS than a serious blog from a civil liberties organisation. Do a CTRL-F on this 'Aron' person's comments. Is this the kind of person the SPLC attracts? Yikes! And they want to criticise your tone? A tad hypocritical, I'd say.

And before someone makes the obvious point, yes, Reddit is bloody puerile. No one pretends otherwise. But I'd definitely be worried if my blog had comments like that, let's just put it that way.

Did anyone else try to downvote comments in the SPLC article? I wanted to downvote a troll and someone calling herself a princess, but the button was unresponsive. Upvote and reply worked just fine, but I am also accessing from my phone so I can't say anything for sure.

The SPLC has aspired to become one of these groups after starting out as a legitimate Civil Rights organization. In some ways it has been successful as the title "Hate Group" is only associated with Right Wing groups.

The population is becoming more informed and less manipulable, some of their recent attacks on some groups are transparently partisan. The attacks on groups associated with Men's issue being a case in point; the recent articles by Goldwag and by Potok and Schlatter are thinly veiled bigotry. The recent attacks on Pro-Life and religious groups are the same, I don't share their views but defend their right to express them. The SPLC attack those they disagree by labeling them Hate Groups..

Golwag's first article on these issues was appalling and he now knows it, as does the SPLC. He has moderated his tone a little in an attempt regain some credibility. It is too late, he and the SPLC have exposed what they are really about. I now question the credibility of the label "Hate Group" they have given to many other groups.
