What you mean? That's not the point.

When the case goes to court and the text messages are presented, the prosecution's case is toasted.

Unless they actually have evidence that it wasn't the accuser that sent the texts (how?), no amount of persuasive testimony on the part of the accuser is going to overturn the physical evidence that is the text messages.

Until the courts finally decide that an IP isn't a person, which isn't going to happen in a million years, those text messages are iron-clad.

Rapists who hijack those phones to make those messages are going to get away with rape every time when it's just the accuser's testimony that's up against it.

If the victim was beaten near death (or some other significant opposing evidence) during the time of the alleged offense, etc... then maybe the validity of the text messages will be scrutinized, but that's really about it.
