In case this gets hidden again...
Whenever I post to stumbleupon, I use the link http://www.stumbleupon.com/submit.
On that page, I select whether or not the post is safe for work, then I select a category. You cannot post from that page without selecting a category, so this is not a problem of having not selected one.
I've discovered that whenever I select "men's issues" as a category, my post gets reassigned to "feminism."
I posted about this previously, and got a canned answer from an admin suggesting I should do what I always do, (use the submit page and select the category) and that will fix the problem.
Unfortunately, since the problem wasn't that I wasn't doing that, this does not solve my problem. However, when I pointed that out, the admin who answered it closed the comments and reassigned the post to the "wrong category" question. This isn't just a wrong category question - it's a glitch that wrongfully reassigns posts that have been labeled for one category to another.
I thought the issue had been looked at when, this time, the post came up "uncategorized" after I posted it. However, a few minutes later, even though the phrase "Men's rights" is at the top of the page as part of the site's header, stumbleupon's system reassigned the item to "feminism" again.
Men's issues are men's issues. They are not feminist issues. Feminism has nothing for men, and when stumble sends men's issues pages to the feminist category, feminists flood those sites and harass the men there.
This is ridiculous. Your system should NOT reassign men's issues posts to feminism. When the men's issues category is selected by a user, the post should simply go into that category.
Please fix this.
I've seen this in action - post an issue under the label "men's issues" to stumble, and it's shortly afterward re-labeled "feminism."
This is a consistent problem, occurring no matter how well you make sure you selected the category.
Stumbleupon's admin has already glossed it over once.
I'm curious to see if it will be better addressed with a more clear description of the problem.
