Working in the construction industry, I can tell you for certain that there are a lot of contractors who will put a woman in charge as a figurehead just the check that box. They get so much more public work from having that box checked that can can afford to pay a six figures salaries to a person who's job description consists mostly of "be a woman."

This is simply disgusting. Could you imagine an option for "white-owned" that employers could specify, just to give their potential employees the "convenience" of knowing ahead of time that they wouldn't have to work for a black man/woman?

It's your job to maintain - no use risking your job over your bigoted employers. (unless it directly affects you, such as women getting better health plans or something.)

Women arnent bared to entry in any field more then a man is (with the exeption of sports, but that's not a 'feild' as it where) the problem is intrest. There aren't many women interested in the industry, therefore it is predominantly male. Barring men from the field, giving women an unfair advantage, or anything of the sort, won't help diversify a field without interest. Therefore, measures such as these are not only unneeded, but unfair and sexist to the male lead company's, and interferes with their ability to keep workers employed and stay afloat.

So if you're wondering how I feel about it, I'd say I'm rather unamused.

How does a person identify as a woman? In order to be a M to F transsexual person, must that person grow their hair long? Must that person wear clothes (including, but not limited to, underwear) traditionally marketed towards women? Must they wear pink and lace?

What objective standard determines whether a "cis het" male is identifying as a M to F transitioning person in fact, vs one identifying as such simply for some perceived economic or social benefit?

If you're a cis het male, and see that a (scholarship / tax break / other benefit) is available exclusively to women, then style yourself as a MTF transsexual or transitioning transsexual, then is the sexistevildeceitfulsexist you or is it the agency issuing the (scholarship / tax break / other benefit)?
