Why are they acting like "mid-life crises" are an exclusively male phenomenon. Women are filing for divorce at a much higher rate than men, and they are the ones who are citing "wanting a change" for that reason.

Also, labeling things like "buying a nice car" as a "mid-life crisis" is just a way to shame men away from purchasing the things they've always wanted. Most of us can't buy an awesome car at 25, but we can at 45.

But by labeling such behavior as "midplife crisis, it's a way to shame men away from spending money on frivolous interests to keep more money around for their wives to spend on their frivolous interests.

It's well-established that women are much bigger consumers than men and, though they earn less (for less work), they control more of the finances. By shaming men away from buying the nicer car, they ensure that there is more disposable income around for them to spend on shoes and other unnecessary female interests.

So much sexism in that 'it's always the men's fault'. The chubby anchor said 'and George Clooney can only stay committed to the Potbelly pig'. Imagine if some guy commented about some actress like that, he would be an objectifying sexist from the eyes of feminists. But an excuse for bad behavior? Fuck you NBC.

The way they talk about parenting is insulting. Everything (except the guy who made the points about women initiating a majority of divorces) they said was framed around the mother doing the parenting and shaping the children.

I believe that they are trying to build this bad image in the "public eyes" about men as a preemptive measure to the fact that more and more the erratic behavior of especially western women come to light with the help of MRAs and not only. And in the end they can say "yes, some women are bad but as a whole, men are so much worst!"
