To be fair, some of the women who protest slut-shaming don't engage in virgin-shaming, but there are a number of hypocrites who do indeed engage in both.

The idea being that sexual partners can only enhance your worth, not lower it.

One thing worth identifying here is that these women (and men, yes some of us also engage in virgin-shaming other men, and we shouldn't) are actually contributing to a rape culture.

The reason for that is because if you rape a woman, you can get rid of your virginity.

If they are defining men's worth by whether or not they've had sex (this is what defines virginity) rather than whether or not they've had consensual sex, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what motivations they are pushing buttons for.

They are the same thing as people that slut shame and complain about virgin shaming and male sexuality being demonized.

Two sides of the same coin.

Its actually one of the things feminists say is a feature of "rape culture". Men under pressure to be good at getting around the gate and simultaneously women being under pressure to gatekeep and that can lead to misunderstandings and consent being violated.
