Joanne Belknap, a University of Colorado-Boulder professor of ethnic studies, told The Daily Camera that the concerns of those critics are overblown. "I'm sure we can all find examples where certain people were treated unfairly," Belknap said. "But this whole idea that somehow all these men on campus are at risk of being charged with something they didn't do is such a gross exaggeration of what the reality is."

Of course it's a 'ethnic studies' professor saying this and this is something many here on this sub will be used to seeing where you have feminists ( And I have no doubt this professor is one to have such an attitude towards men ) who see men whose lives have been destroyed by their policies as nothing more than collateral damage.

To feminists as long as it's men it seems to be perfectly okay for them to suffer, which explains why they don't care about the education gap and don't give a shit about due process or free speech. It really is interesting studying their behaviour because the more we provoke them into responding and make them defend their views the more they reveal just what their mentality is towards men.

Can DeVos actually unilaterally prevent federal funding? If not, I feel like it proves that unis were just begging to go down the road of the dear colleague letter without any real threat to funding.

And that resolve will last for maybe two lawsuits. All DeVos has done is lift the threat posed by the dear colleague letter. Schools are still free to act as they see fit, but continuing with the kangaroo courts is costly, both in terms of bad press and actual dollars spent on out of court settlements for the wrongly punished.

They had an opportunity to help college men falsely accused of rape which all sides agree is a problem.

Trump and DeVos dropped the ball.
