The problem he faces being the predominance of women who abuse kids flies in the face of the narrative of women good men bad. If society starts paying attention to children being hit and what ultimately is better for them then it will have to face up to women being very much able to abuse. There is no way in the current climate that they want this to be talked about, it would be the start of family courts having to pay attention to mothers who are the less than ideal parent and being denied their right to own the kids. It would be good though if children's needs were put to the fore and the awful notion of good enough parenting (read quite bad really) was thrown out. Sadly can not see it happening any time soon.
