The reason the courts are the way they were was because it used to be a man would decide he was done with kids and married life, get his lawyer to write up the papers, then split and leave the woman with the kids and no money. I grew up with a lot of friends whose dad fulfilled the proverbial "went for bread, never came back." At one time women could not divorce a man, or had to go to divorce ranches in Reno to get divorced as well.
No one seems to be able to see past their personal experiences. I am not saying modern feminism is in any right, but it came about for a reason.
