Men aren't allowed to handle their emotions as well as women.

I don't think it's that, it's that men are not allowed to express ourselves how we do our want to. Masculine expression of emotions is not allowed or understood, only feminine ways, that's why boys are treated like defective girls and men don't respond to female psychiatrists.

Men aren't women, and women don't seem to like that or understand that

Men don’t tend to talk about their emotions like women do, as it isn’t very appealing generally. However, men who do feel emotional like that are more prone to risk taking than women, as evidenced by how much more violent suicide tends to be for men, whereas women often poison themselves. This combined with how many in the social sciences, who are meant to help people with mental issues, have a bias against men and therefore do not handle them properly. It’s already hard enough for many men to be able to open up about their feelings, so can anyone really blame them for feeling betrayed by being told some nonsense about confessing their male privilege or whatever?

I find it disgusting how this person basically justifies this as something that’s practically bound to happen. Men often shove their problems to the side for the sake of others, which is assisted by testosterone which promotes emotional reticence. Women, on the other hand, are more prone to complaining and not being able to handle being under pressure, as evidenced by those every day hero videos or whatever they’re called (Karen talked about them in one of her videos). Estrogen derivatives often fuel negative emotions, whereas testosterone can suppress them to some extent. So really, it’s fairly obvious that these men aren’t often helped due to the apathy of others rather than them simply not feeling comfortable crying about it to someone.

In my experience, men handle their emotions differently to women, it is a strategy in the gender war to typify men's approach as defective; understandably this causes unnecessary friction. Instead of trying to understand why men approach problems differently, some activists demand men change their behaviour to be more like stereotypical women. As I have observed, when you demand people, men and women, to change they often push back against those demands.

I believe men and women view violence, and its application, very differently and western society doesn't recognise women's capacity for violence so the focus is primarily upon men and their behaviour. This focus, meticulously misdirected from violence as a whole, is also a deliberate strategy.

Men are not a problem to be fixed, they are humans to be understood.

Some men will act in an antisocial manner, some women will act in an antisocial manner. The actions of such people does not define the entire sex that acts in a social manner nor is there a one size fits all definition of why people do antisocial things. That, I believe, is one of the failings of our public discourse is the sound bite solution; not enough effort is put into determining what truly inspired terrible acts.

I cannot remember where I saw this but this is a valuable insight for me into the difference between men and women expressing their emotions: Women deal with their emotions face to face, men do so shoulder to shoulder.

Ok, so if that were true, why wouldn't the response from society, from the government, be to address that then? Why is it just "men are bad" and that's the way it is? Surely if men can't can handle our emotions and that leads to killing.... perhaps treat the cause not the symptom?

That's why we can't stand feminist dogma - it all boils down to "men are evil.... no, we have no solutions to help, we did our bit by denigrating men.... now pay us"

The truth is society has fucked men to where they are scared to talk about there problems in fear of being deemed unmanly and bullying because a person is deemed weak on there stature or there financial problems or there facial features or there face background

It's one commenter with 3 people who agree. Out of how many people on Reddit? It's as if people here go out of their way to be offended.
