There would have to be an overwhelming demand from male viewers.

However, given that the majority of stay at home parents are mothers, the show was designed to appeal to women. And by virtue of that, I'd guess that less than 5% of their viewership is male.

If, by some cruel twist of fate, a large enough percentage of the female viewership wanted a male co-host, despite good intentions, would result in any of 3 possible outcomes:

Strawman/punching bag, Largely ignored or underutilized, Generic "hot guy".

I recommend watching American Dad, season 12 ep 8 "Morning Mimosa". It's a brutally funny look at daytime tv talk shows, and definitely means to lampoon The View
