Schoolboy, 16, 'killed himself' after being falsely accused of tying a girl to a tree and raping her (he was accused by other guys, because he had reported them for selling drugs)

Exonerated in Mich. murder: ‘A weight has been lifted’ (The guy went to prison not for murder, but for lying to the police, and it turns out the police lied about the evidence against him)

I remember this evil bitch... IIRC she was given the pussy pass as well. Basically given a slap on the wrist for all the damage she caused and lives she ruined.

You’d think with a case this big and the fact that she destroyed tens of thousands of innocent lives... you’d think she would be one of the few women actually held accountable for her actions and put away for a very long time... but NOPE!

EDIT: according to this link she’s already out of prison lol.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2016/04/12/annie-dookhan-key-figure-state-lab-scandal-released-from-prison/lp7q98UmWKucv4F7O3R4DI/amp.html

She pled guilty in 2013-14 and was sentenced to serve only 3-5 years.... but like usual

has been granted parole from her prison sentence, an official said Tuesday.

The Parole Board, in a decision dated Feb. 24, found she was a low-risk, nonviolent offender, with no previous record.

“Completed multiple programs and incurred no disciplinary reports,” the board noted in its decision. “Release not incompatible with best interest of society.”

One member of the board noted that more than 40 letters of support had been submitted on Dookhan’s behalf and that she was “very remorseful.”

Over 40,000 lives affected because of this cunt and yet she only had to serve a couple years before being released early because of “good behavior”.

I don’t give a shit if she became a saint behind bars... She deserves to spend the rest of her life in prison for all the pain and damage she caused to thousands and thousands of people. She should have gotten at least one year for each person/instance that she falsified tests... and since she did it over 40,000 times, she should have been sentenced to 40k years!

What ended up happening about the 40,000 cases that got screwed up because of her?

OH, yeah, they left it up to the prosecutors to determine which ones to dismiss, followed by statements like:

“It puts a very, very heavy burden on the prosecution to review all these cases and determine if there’s any possibility that they could be prosecuted again if a motion for a new trial were allowed,” said Terrence Kennedy, a criminal defense attorney and member of the Governor’s Council. “It’s an almost impossible burden. It’s an expensive burden because it also puts the costs in the DA’s budget, which is a huge factor, too.”

Makes me think a bunch of this got pigeon holed without much real review.

But their poor budget! It's just too hard for them to pursue justice for the wrongly convicted.

Wow, we don't even pretend like we punish women for their crimes. Apparently ruining upwards of 40,000 lives with faked results gives you a lesser sentence than being caught with a joint on your dash.

Show some compassion. At least offer possibility of parole in 20k years.

If someone's life is on the line, i.e. going to prison, why aren't people double tested for accuracy?

[–]Kami_no_Megumi 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I assume a detailed drug test at two different labs costs quite a bit

[–]sric2838 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Cost less than housing an innocent person in prison.

remember watching a video on YouTube on this women. Colleagues going "how is she getting results so quick when it takes us twice as long"

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So she's worse than harvey weinstien and no one gives a shit. Im not say HW is okay... fuck that guy. i just dont think his numbers are that high, and he made an exchange so that his victims were in someway refund. this person however USED their position of POWER to put innocents in jail.

huuu HW should be in jail and so should she... but she's already off the hook.

You cannot be fucking serious. That is fucking infuriating.

[–]AboomalavaU 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This result brought on the notion that if i did not know any better, i would say she was tried in family court. What a mockery of justice.

[–]andejoh 10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's drug use and sales that's the problem not false accusations. /s

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are you serious? 40,000 lives. 40,000 people sent to jail. 40,000 people who have this on their police record. 40,000 people who are now limited for jobs they can apply for. 40,000+ people affected because each person who was wrongfully convicted had family and friends
